Super Bowl XL - Wrong Again

Yeah, so what do I know? Obviously very little. I read this morning (morning after the game, of course) that the Las Vegas line moved to Steelers minus 4 1/2 on Sunday morning. Very usual for the line to move that late. Tons and Tons of professional money (those "in the know") must have came in late - all on the Steelers. If you were in Las Vegas and saw that movement, I hope you jumped all over it for a nice payday.

Seahawks win the takeaway battle, beat the Steelers in all offense categories but still lose the Big One. (thanks, refs!). Oh well, NBA anyone?

Enjoy!

Super Bowl XL Prediction

The Steelers moved to a 4 point favorite. Over/under is 47. No opinion on the O/V - it's probably right on the number.

I still believe the 4 points is way off base - extremely usual for a Super Bowl. The Las Vegas sportsbooks, hotels, casinos and, most importantly, bars must be awashed in Black & Gold apparel and dollars this weekend!

As with most big games, the winning team will be determined by turnovers. If the Steelers win the takeaway battle by a margin of +2 or more, then Cowher wins his first title.

Otherwise, and most likely, Seattle owns this season's MVP and an NFL Super Bowl championship for the home of Starbucks, Microsoft, and newly elected Hall of Famer Warren Moon. Go 'Hawks. Enjoy it rainy city - it's your last trip to the Big One for many a Moon.
